We have climate controlled units and non-climate controlled units. The easiest way to remember the difference it to look at them this way; putting you things in a climate controlled unit is the same as putting them in your spare bedroom. Putting your things in a non-climate controlled unit is the same as putting them in a shed in your back yard.
So how do you decide which is right for you? Here are some factors to consider:
- Your budget, climate controlled units cost more than non-climate controlled units.
- Will your things tolerate a large change in temperature and humidity? We keep the temperature between 70 and 80 degrees in our climate controlled units.
- Will dust be a problem? Non-climate controlled units are similar to your garage, it will allow some dust to get in. Remember the doors on our units are roll-up doors and are not air tight.
- If you have delicate electronics, important papers or photographs, expensive furniture or anything that your would never want in your garage or shed then we recommend climate controlled units.
One question we are asked a lot is what is our cheapest unit, a better question would be what size do you need. We can help you find the best size and type of unit that will fit your needs.
